Diamond's Edge Restaurant is a full service restaurant with water views. The restaurant and inn are situated in buildings that were once part of Fort McKinley, which operated as part of Maine's coastal defenses from 1873 to 1947.
In addition to the historic building itself, the view from the tables on the lawn is truly one of a kind. Diamond's Edge is an excellent blend of good food, family friendliness, and a perfect setting.
The restaurant is located in Diamond Cove, on the northeast section of Great Diamond Island.
Diamond's Edge Restaurant is part of the Diamond's Edge Marina complex. They offer slip space for guests dining at the restaurant with prices ranging from $10 to $100, depending on the date and the size of your boat. When you get close to the Marina, simply reach them on VHF Channel 9 to get directions on where to tie up. There is almost always someone available to catch lines and help settle you into place.
The restaurant offers lunch and dinner service, featuring Maine classics like fried scallops, Bangs Island Mussels, and lobster rolls. For those with an aversion to seafood, they have steak and burger options. The restaurant also has an excellent kids menu with reasonably-priced options for the little ones.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is a charming dining room in an older, beautiful building. When the weather permits, the best seats are to be found on the lawn, with room for kids to play and gorgeous views of the water.
